Description:

Lead all technical activities related to open-source mobile communication networks-related projects at IISc to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Defining the project roadmap and deliverables in consultation with project leads and stakeholders
• Lead the 5G ORAN compliant stack design and development
• Hiring and day-to-day technical management of the team
• Multisite cross functional team collaboration and communication
• Work with Test team to deliver production quality release
• Release planning, management and trials
• Reports, demos, and presentations to funding agencies and partners

Requirements:

• MTech/PhD in EE/ECE/CS with 10+ years of experience
• Experience in team leadership, mentorship, and project management
• Deep knowledge of 5G and beyond technologies
• Deep knowledge of C/C++ programming
• Expertise in software architecture and open-source approaches
• Desirable: Exposure to DPDK, ORAN, test and measurement tools (VSA, VSG), OAI, 3GPP standardization process, 5G interfaces, hardware/software acceleration, cloud and Kubernetes environments
